ABOUT ME

I am a former stand-up comedian turned cognitive psychologist with special interest in human memory processes and metacognition. My favorite areas of research include prospective memory, eyewitness testimony, and false memory -- the last interest comes from the combination of my loves for memory and messing with people.

I joined McDaniel College in 2009 as a specialist in cognitive psychology and psychological methods and statistics.

My current position has allowed me to combine some of my pop culture interests with psychology. I have taught interdisciplinary courses about the science behind zombies, pranking as a form communication/information processing, and a first year seminar on Doctor Who and metacognition.
